Pine County, MN : Willow River man dies in motor vehicle crash on Highway 61 north of Swanson Road Thursday November 19 2015

Pine County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 61 north of Swanson Road near Rutledge.
The caller reported a pickup went off the road, hit some trees and the driver of the pickup was unresponsive. The caller indicated she was then beginning CPR on the driver. Deputies as well as the Willow River Fire Department and Essentia Ambulance responded to the scene. Resuscitation efforts were attempted on the driver but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Robert Kwapick, age 51, of Willow River. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Pine County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
