Seattle, WA : Driver goes on hit-and-run tear throughout Seattle on Wednesday August 6th 2014

Police say an irate man went on "a tear" in Seattle on Wednesday, getting involved in at least four hit-and-run crashes before trying and failing to carjack someone at knifepoint. The 36-year-old man was arrested soon after the carjacking attempt, but not before police say he rampaged through several Seattle neighbors. The bizarre day began when the man, who has not been named, walked into a West Seattle nursing home and began acting erratically, according to police. The man is accused of knocking everything off a counter, pushing a walker into an employee and then hopping in a car and speeding away recklessly. A witness called 911 and said the man drove onto a sidewalk and was involved in a hit and run. The man was next spotted near Mercer Street and Dexter Avenue, where police say he was involved in another hit and run. He then turned up in Capitol Hill, where he got into yet another hit and run, according to police. Police say the last hit and run of the day happened in the International District. Soon after that, police say the man ditched his damaged car and tried to carjack another driver at knifepoint. The attempt failed, and police soon nabbed the road rager near Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Walden Street.
