Willoughby police are seeking witnesses to a one-car crash involving a 70-year-old Euclid woman.
According to Detective Lt. James Schultz:
A gray 2015 Ford Focus sedan was traveling eastbound on Route 20 about 6 p.m. May 1.
As the vehicle passed through the Kirtland Road intersection, the Ford drove off the right side of the roadway. As the Ford struck the curb, it began to vault into the air. The car then struck a utility pole in front of the Speedway gas station. The Ford spun clockwise and landed right-side up, facing southbound on the sidewalk and tree lawn in front of Speedway.
The female driver was transported to Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights for incapacitating injuries. The crash is still under investigation. It did not appear that alcohol was a factor.
