Grand Haven, MI : Two hurt in rollover crash on Beacon Blvd on Friday, 26th August, 2016
Two people were injured in a two-car crash on southbound Beacon Boulevard in Grand Haven shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.The driver of a Ford Bronco, a 19-year-old Ferrysburg resident, was pinned in the SUV, which came to rest on its roof in a southbound lane in front of Starlite Lanes, south of Taylor Avenue. Grand Haven public safety officers extricated the victim, who was then transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon by a North Ottawa Community Hospital ambulance, police said.
The AeroMed ambulance helicopter was initially dispatched to the scene, but it was quickly called off.
A passenger in the Bronco, a 20-year-old Grand Haven man, suffered minor injuries but refused treatment, said Lt. Joe Boyle of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.
The other vehicle involved in the crash, a Buick sedan, was occupied by an 84-year-old Grand Haven resident, who was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital for observation.

Traffic on southbound Beacon was backed up and rerouted for about an hour after the crash, Boyle said.
“Preliminary reports indicate the (Bronco) driven northbound on U.S. 31 attempted to make a left-hand turn in the median turn lane, lost control and struck the other vehicle (Buick) traveling south on U.S. 31,” Boyle said in a release. “Upon impact, the (Bronco) rolled over.”
The names of the people involved in the crash were not released.
The incident is still being investigated. Any witnesses are asked to call GHDPS at 616-842-3460.
