Police have identified the 26-year-old Glen Burnie man who was critically injured in a single vehicle accident Sunday morning in Pasadena.

Police said Jordan Michael Ellenberger was traveling northbound on Ritchie Highway at Route 10 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, striking two large trees and a sign post on the shoulder of the roadway.

County firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 2:12 a.m. Ellenberger was trapped in the vehicle for over an hour while fire personnel worked to extricate him, police said.

He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by helicopter. He was listed in serious condition Monday.
