Montgomery, AL : North Alabama man dies after crashing into bridge support on I-65 Tuesday afternoon, November 22, 2016

A crash Tuesday afternoon left a North Alabama man dead.

According to Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling, the man was driving his vehicle when the car left the roadway and struck a bridge support. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Appling said the victim's name is being withheld until his next of kin has been notified.

The incident happened around 4:05 p.m. on Interstate 65 near mile marker 157, approximately 15 miles south of Montgomery.

State troopers are investigating the crash.
