Emmitsburg, MD : Thurmont man injured in a single vehicle crash on Md. 140 in Emmitsburg on Monday, November 17, 2014

A Thurmont man was taken to a trauma center Monday after his vehicle crashed and rolled over off Md. 140 in Emmitsburg, state police said. The crash, about a quarter-mile east of U.S. 15, involved a single vehicle with one occupant, said Sgt. John McGee, a Maryland State Police supervisor. First responders initially called for a helicopter, but the man was instead driven to Meritus Medical Center due to inclement weather. Police did not release the man's name. State police Sgt.
