Alexandria, MO : Passenger suffers moderate injuries after a two-car crash in Missouri on Friday, April 22, 2016

A two-car crash Friday sent a passenger in one of the two vehicles to the hospital.

Bernell A. Farmer, 52, of Keokuk, Iowa, was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., after the 2003 Suzuki Aerio he was riding in was rear-ended by a 2010 Kia Rio driven by Vernon A. Bloyd, 60, of Kahoka. Farmer was reported with moderate injuries.

A report said Bloyd failed to stop when the car Farmer was in, driven by Abigail L. Frank, 21, of Keokuk, was attempting to make a left turn off U.S. 136 about a half mile north of Alexandra. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 3:09 p.m.

All three people in the crash were wearing seat belts.

Assisting were the Clark County Sheriff's Department, Clark County Ambulance and Clark County Rescue.
