Anson, TX : Man, girl killed in Jones County traffic accident Tuesday afternoon, March 28, 2017

A man and a girl were killed Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident in Jones County.

According to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, shortly before 4 p.m., John Henry Williams was driving a passenger van south on FM 600 near County Road 377, about 12 miles east of Anson.

"While negotiating a curve in the road, the vehicle veered off the road to the west," according to the news release. "The driver over-corrected, went back onto the roadway, and went into a side skid. The vehicle overturned ejecting all three occupants from the vehicle. Crash remains under investigation."

Pronounced dead at the scene were Williams, 66, and Charsie June Williams, 11. Johnathan Lewis Williams, 15, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in "stable/Incapacitating" condition. according to the DPS. All were from Lueders.
