Clermont County, OH : Three medical helicopters sent to a two-vehicle crash on Dela-Palma Road near Ohio 32 on Tuesday night, November 18, 2014
Five people were injured -- three seriously in a Clermont County crash Tuesday night, officials said.
Three medical helicopters responded to a two-vehicle crash on Dela-Palma Road near Ohio 32, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Both vehicles ended crashed off the side of the road after a collision in Williamsburg Township about 6:45 p.m.
Kyle Byrd was driving north on Dela-Palma Road when his vehicle traveled off the right side of road. While attempting to get back on the road, his vehicle slid sideways across the center line where it was struck by another vehicle traveling the opposite direction, the release states.
Byrd, who suffered minor injuries, had three passengers in his vehicle.
- Anthony Helm, 21, of Bethel, suffered minor injuries.
- Shawn Harris, 20, of Bethel, suffered serious injuries and was flown to the hospital.
- Brandon Davis, 28, of Bethel, suffered serious injuries and was flown to the hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, Kathleen Burns, also suffered serious injuries and was flown to the hospital.
Burns, 52, is a resident of Williamsburg.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to the release. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
