Nashville ,TN : 48- Years old Lillian Keyes killed and another injured after head-on collision on Thursday ,June 4th 2015

A driver was killed in a head-on collision on Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage on Thursday morning.

Police said a woman in a Honda Civic, identified as Lillian Keyes, 48, pulled out of a parking lot and went the wrong way, crashing into an SUV driven by Andrea Miller, 25, of Hendersonville, near Lebanon Pike. Keyes died at the scene.

The impact threw a dog from the SUV, but the pet was not hurt. Miller was transported to TriStar Summit Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the driver who caused the accident was driving on expired tags.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to police. Toxicology tests will be conducted to determine whether drugs or alcohol involvement played a role in the crash.
