BARTON COUNTY, KS : A Larned woman died following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, June 24, 2017

A Larned woman died following a two-vehicle crash near the Barton-Russell county line early Saturday evening, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.
Janet L. Adams, 76, was initially taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, but she died from her injuries Sunday morning. In addition, injured and taken to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington were: Fred L. Adams, 77, of Hays, who was driving the vehicle in which Janet Adams was riding; and Jared R. Petersillie, 39, of La Crosse, who was the sole occupant of the second vehicle.
A hospital spokesperson said Monday afternoon said she could not release the conditions of Fred Adams nor Petersillie.
According to the KHP, Petersillie was eastbound on NW 190 Road in Barton County in a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday. He ran a stop sign and collided with Fred Adams who was northbound on U.S. 281 in a 2003 Ford Expedition.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
