BRIDGEPORT, CT : Drivers stable following Bridgeport I-95 head-on crash on Saturday, 7th December, 2019
A driver involved in a head-on collision on I-95 Saturday that set fire to a tractor trailer truck is reported to be in stable condition.
Bridgeport spokesman Terron Jones said the drivers were in stable condition, but said the investigation into the crash is being handled by state police, who patrol the state’s network of interstate highways.
The tractor trailer truck collided head-on with a wrong-way driver around 4 a.m. Saturday near Exit 27A.
The driver of the wrong-way car was reported to be seriously injured, and had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel before being rushed to the hospital. A passenger in the car sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
