Lancaster County, SC : One killed in a single-vehicle crash on Unity Church Road Saturday, February 27, 2016

One person suffered fatal injuries when a Kia SUV veered off the road and hit a tree on Unity Church Road Saturday.
The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. about 6 miles north of Lancaster.
South Carolina Highway Patrol says the driver of the Kia was driving north on Unity Church Road and veered off to the left of the road, overcorrected and hit two trees on the right side of the road.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to troopers.
The driver was airlifted but did not survive his or her injuries.
