Sunbury, PA : A 24-year-old Middleburg man was killed during a vehicle crash in Centre County on Thursday, November, 16th 2017

A 24-year-old Middleburg man was killed during a vehicle crash in Centre County yesterday, said Rockview State Police trooper Joshua Knoffsinger.

Andres Valencia was headed east on Brush Valley Road near Miles Township when his vehicle veered off the southern side of the roadway, said Knoffsinger.

He said Valencia tried to regain control of the vehicle and slid sideways across both lanes of traffic.

Valencia's vehicle then hit the northern berm, spun clockwise and collided head on multiple trees, said Knoffsinger.

After the vehicle stopped, it caught on fire. Knoffsinger said Valencia was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash reportedly happened around 4 p.m. Mifflinburg Fire Department, Miles Township Fire Department and Penns Valley EMS were called to the scene.
