Boise, ID : Idaho driver dies in crash after fleeing traffic stop on Saturday morning, February 28, 2015

A man is dead after police say he crashed into a building early Saturday morning.

Boise Police say it all started at around 2:30 a.m. when an officer spotted the man in the SUV driving erratically southbound on Vista Avenue. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the man sped away.

A short time later, police say an officer found the vehicle crashed into a building on the 2000 block of West Airport Way, near the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.

The man, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released the driver's name.

The crash remains under investigation.
