Charleston, IL : Driver and two passengers injured after vehicle crash on Thursday September 8 2016
The driver and two passengers were taken to hospitals after a sport utility vehicle hit a tree near Charleston High School on Thursday afternoon.
Charleston police said the SUV was driven by Dylan T. Turnbow, 16, 10215 N. County Road 2170E, Ashmore, and he and two female passengers were taken from the scene by ambulances.
A 17-year-old male passenger was treated at the scene, police said. All four occupants of the SUV were CHS students.
Police indicated reports on the accident weren't complete and no other details were yet available. The accident occurred about 1 p.m. Thursday on Smith Drive next to the parking lot just northwest of CHS.
