An Amherst man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated Sunday after rear-ending another car Sunday on South Transit Road at Tonawanda Creek Road, State Police said.
Vecheslav Moroz, 47, posted a blood-alcohol level of .18 percent, police said. Moroz was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into the rear of another car whose occupants, Bernard Daley, 60, and Mary Daley, both of Ocala, Fla., and Mary Daley, were injured. The two were treated in Eastern Niagara Hospital, then released, and Moroz escaped inujury, police said.
The suspect also was charged with following too closely, moving from a lane unsafely and failure to use the designated lane.
