MADISON, WI : Two arrested after car crashes into Madison home on Friday, 29th December 2023

Madison police arrested two people early Friday after a car crashed into a house.

Officers and Madison Fire Department crews were called to the 800 block of South Park Street just after 2:30 a.m. after a car jumped a median and struck a home, damaging a foundation wall and support beam.

The MFD Heavy Urban Rescue Team was called into action and used support techniques to shore up the damaged area, allowing the family inside to be able to stay in their home.

No injuries were reported but a 28-year-old man and 26-year-old man were taken into custody. The 28-year-old man faces charges of operating while intoxicated and the 26-year-old man was arrested on a hold from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.


Police said the crash is under investigation, but speed and intoxication are believed to have been factors in the incident.
