HENDRY COUNTY, FL : 18-year-old pedestrian killed in hit & run crash in Hendry County on Saturday, 13th February 2021

An 18-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened on Old US 27 and Art Lawerence Road in Hendry County.

The crash happened on Saturday, and troopers said the 18-year-old man was from Clewiston. Florida Highway Patrol confirmed they have a suspect, but the investigation is ongoing. The driver of the SUV involved in the crash is a 55-year-old woman from Clewiston.

The SUV was driving east on Old US 27, approaching the intersection at Art Lawerence Road, according to troopers. The teen was in the intersection of Old US 27 and Art Lawerence Road when troopers said the driver failed to see him.
