BROWNSVILLE, TX : DPS Brownsville man dies in motorcycle accident on Monday, 29th January 2024

The Texas Department of Public Safety said a Brownsville man was killed in a one-vehicle motorcycle fatal crash early Monday morning.

A DPS news release said the accident happened around 12:22 a.m. on F.M. 1732 east of New Carmen Avenue in Brownsville

A preliminary investigation revealed a black/gray 2024 Suzuki motorcycle, occupied by a male rider, was traveling eastbound on F.M. 1732.

The rider, identified as Juan Pablo Oropeza Bellavia, 39, failed to drive in a single lane, veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Bellavia died from his injuries at the scene. DPS Troopers are further investigating this fatality.
