Woodhull Twp, MI : DeWitt man killed in crash on Interstate 69 in Shiawassee County on Monday, June 20, 2016

Officials have identified the DeWitt man who was killed Monday in a crash on Interstate 69 near the intersection with Woodbury Road in Shiawassee County.

Benjamin Patrick Bashore, 34, was driving a car that was hit by a semitrailer at about 1:42 p.m., said Shiawassee County Undersheriff Walter McPherson.

While the investigation is not complete, preliminary indications are that Bashore's car was stopped in the right lane when the crash occurred, McPherson said.

Eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours after the wreck. There were no other injuries.
