Boston, MA : Pedestrian struck and killed by plow truck in Dorchester on Sunday morning, January 24, 2016

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a snow plow truck in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Sunday morning.

Police say the incident occurred on Harbor View Street at Dorchester Avenue.

The pedestrian's identity was not released, but police said a man in his 60s was the victim.

Photos showed the plow did not leave the scene.

"It's a tragic accident," said Bernard O'Rourke, Boston police superintendent. "It's unclear what happened. The accident reconstruction team will determine speed, all those other types of things."

Boston police told WCVB the plow driver was cooperative and no charges have been filed yet. Multiple witnesses described to police what they saw, but investigators are still working to piece together exactly what happened.

"If anybody in the area happened to see something please help us out," said O'Rourke. "We'd like to determine exactly what happened in this particular tragic accident."
