Dallas, TX : Pedestrian killed in morning crash in South Arlington on urday, 20th August, 2016Sat

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning in the 2600 block of South Cooper Street in South Arlington, police said.

Officers, who arrived about 5 a.m., said the vehicle was northbound in the outside lane when it collided with a person who was attempting to cross the street without using a crosswalk.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges are expected against the driver.
