Epps, LA : Winnsboro man dies in Richland Parish wreck on Louisiana 17 south of Epps on Wednesday, 4th March, 2020

A Winnsboro man died Wednesday morning in a wreck near Epps.

Around 7:30 a.m., troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a two-vehicle wreck on Louisiana 17 south of Epps.

An initial investigation by Louisiana State Police revealed the wreck occurred as a 2019 Dodge Charger, driven by Ryan Lee, age 24, was traveling southbound on the highway.

For reasons still under investigation, the Charger crossed the center line into the path of a northbound 2017 Kenworth commercial truck. This action resulted in the collision between the two vehicles.
