SOUTHINGTON, CT : Two injured in crash on I-84 in Southington on Monday, September 25th 2017

A section of Interstate 84 was shut down early Monday morning while emergency crews responded to a crash.

Firefighters responded to I-84 west by exit 30 about 4:45 a.m. Monday. Fire officials said three cars collided and the highway was closed for a short period of time.

Two motorists were injured and taken to Waterbury-area hospitals, fire officials said.

The crash was cleared about 5:30 a.m.
