Hancock County , MS : 16 - Years old killed in a four-wheeler accident Near Bayside Park neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, February 22nd 2015

Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk has identified the teen who was killed in a four-wheeler accident in the Bayside Park neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

Faulk said Chaz William Gill, 16, was killed when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of East Pike Street and Hancock Drive and was hit by a truck. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck happened shortly after 4 p.m.

Sheriff Ricky Adam said Gill was riding on East Pike Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign. Adam said he was hit by the truck while crossing Hancock Drive.

Chief Deputy Don Bass said the driver of the truck, who was identified as 27-year-old Andrew Price, of Pass Christian, initially stopped to give Gill CPR. He said Price eventually panicked and left the scene.

Bass said Price has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
