Houston County, GA : Hawkinsville man killed in a two-vehicle collision on Ga. 247 in Perry on Monday afternoon, April 18, 2016

A Hawkinsville man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon at the Ga. 247 spur in Perry, Police Chief Steve Lynn said.

At about 4:15 p.m., 48-year-old William Jones Jr. suffered fatal injuries when he was ejected from his 2004 Chevrolet pickup, Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin said.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident that involved the juvenile driver of a 2014 Jeep Compass, according to Sgt. Craig Smith of the Perry GSP post.

The jeep driver, whose name was not released due to age restrictions, was treated for minor injuries
