More than 700 people wer without power in Mount Pleasant for almost 9 hours early Sunday morning following a traffic crash on Highway 17 North and Anna Knapp Boulevard.
According to Charleston County Dispatch, Mount Pleasant Police, Mount Pleasant Fire and Charleston County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene just before 11:30 Saturday night.
According to Mount Pleasant Police, the accident took out a power pole.
Originally, there were more than 1,400 people without power.
South Carolina Electric & Gas got the power restored by 9am Sunday.
