Waterbury, CT : 41-year-old woman was dead after she was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 84 on early Thursday morning October 9th 2014

Police say a 41-year-old Connecticut woman has been struck and killed on Interstate 84, which led to the closing of the eastbound lanes for hours. Kristie Bronson of Naugatuck was in the left lane when she was struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning. Police say the vehicle stopped in the highway's right shoulder with Bronson trapped beneath the vehicle. The highway's eastbound lanes were shut several hours between exits 25 and 25A.
