GWINNETT COUNTY, GA : Fatal crash shuts down northbound I-85 in Gwinnett on Sunday, 7th February 2021

Northbound lanes of I-85 in Gwinnett County are completely shut down following a deadly crash, police said late Sunday evening.

According to an alert from the Gwinnett Police Department, the accident happened just north of Pleasant Hill Road. As a result, all northbound traffic is being diverted off at exit 105.

Gwinnett Police said there were three vehicles involved and that one person died. Another person was taken to Northside Gwinnett for treatment of injuries not expected to be life-threatening and two others refused medical care.

Police expect to provide additional details on Monday after their teams complete their investigation.
