Dayton, OH : Four people injured after a four-car crash on Interstate 75 at Benchwood on Saturday, February 13, 2016

Four people are taken to the hospital following a four-car pile-up on Interstate 75 southbound, officials say.

It happened just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say a red pick-up truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on the interstate, when it ran into the car in front of it, causing a chain reaction.

The crash closed the highway for about an hour.

Two people were treated for their injuries at the scene and others were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for unknown injuries as of Saturday evening.

The highway was opening back up to traffic just after 7 p.m.

Investigators tell 2 NEWS that the truck will be cited for the crash.
