Napoleonville, LA : Plattenville man killed after car crossed the highway's center line on Saturday, Nov 7, 2015

A Plattenville man was killed in a crash on Louisiana Highway 1 after his car crossed the highway's center line.

State police say it happened around 4 a.m. Saturday. A northbound car driven by 25-year-old Anthony Cox crossed into the southbound lane in a curve. The car struck a street sweeper driven by a Thibodaux man who was unable to avoid the crash.

Cox died later at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. The other driver had moderate injuries.
