Pottawatomie County ,KS : one injured in Pottawatomie County crash on Friday night ,July 17th 2015
One person sustained disabling injuries and another may have been injured when a car left the roadway and struck an embankment Friday night in Pottawatomie County.
Courtney Hercules, 52, of Louisville, was driving northbound on K-99 near mile marker 175 when her 1995 Ford pickup left the road to the east for an unknown reason at about 7:10 p.m. Friday. The vehicle came back onto the road and then left again to the east, traveled through a ditch and struck an embankment about 60 feet off the road, according to a report from Kansas Highway Patrol.
Hercules, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan with possibly disabling injuries. Her passenger, John Quigley, 51, of St. George, was taken to Wamego City Hospital with possible injuries. He also wasn’t wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
