Tallahassee, FL : A 43-year-old Apopka man was killed on Sunday, July 9, 2017

A 43-year-old Apopka man was killed in an early Sunday crash.The Florida Highway Patrol said Wilfredo Marin was traveling west on Interstate 4 near Branch Forbes Road.

Marin reached for an object within the vehicle, lost control, collided with a guardrail and was ejected from the vehicle.

The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m.

Marin died at a local hospital, troopers said.

Two female passengers in the vehicle, Maribel Muniz and Cathleen Melendez, were taken to Tampa General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Muniz and Melendez are both from Orlando.
