Marietta, GA : No students injured in Cobb school bus wreck on Wednesday morning, March 8, 2017

A school bus carrying 15 Tapp Middle School students was rear-ended Wednesday morning, according to a school district official.

No injuries were reported from the wreck that occurred near Moon and Florence roads by Varner Elementary School in Powder Springs, said Donna Lowry, spokesperson for the Cobb School District.

The wreck occurred at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday, Lowry said.

“Another bus arrived to the scene, picked up the students and completed the route,” she said.

Medical professionals were called to the scene in accordance with the district’s safety procedures, and the students’ parents were notified of the wreck, according to a statement from the district’s transportation department.
