Tinley Park, IL : 3 killed in 2 motorcycle accidents in Will County on Saturday, February 18th 2017
Three people were killed in two separate motorcycle accidents over the weekend in Will County.
A 60-year-old male driver of a motorcycle and his 48-year-old female passenger, both from Monee, were killed the driver lost control of the motorcycle at Route 50 and Beecher Road, near Peotone, at 11:57 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, according to Illinois State Police.
Identification of the victims was pending notification of familly, police said.
A second accident at 5:39 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, claimed the life of Reuben W. Richardson, 55, of Naperville, who was pronounced dead at 6:54 p.m. at Silver Cross Hospital's emergency room, according to the Will County Coroner's office. Final cause of death is pending police, toxicology and autopsy results.
According to Illinois State Police, Richardson was on the ramp from I-80 westbound to I-355, near New Lenox, when he lost control for unknown reasons, and drove off the roadway, crashing into the embankment.
The causes of both accidents are still under investigation, police said.
