HIBBING, MN : Two parties were injured during a two-vehicle crash on May, Tuesday 9th 2017
Two parties were injured during a two-vehicle crash at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday in the intersection of 19th Avenue East and Highway 37 in Hibbing.
A 2011 Ford Taurus driven by Tracy M. Salin, 38, of Eveleth, was traveling south on 19th Avenue East when she attempted to make a left hand turn to go east onto Highway 37 and was struck by a 2008 Suzuki Enduro motorcycle, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. The motorcycle was driven by Michael D. Fish, 67, of Hibbing, and was traveling northbound on 19th Avenue East crossing over Highway 37.
Both vehicles came to rest in the highway intersection.
Salin and Fish were each transported to Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Salin was wearing a seatbelt but no airbag deployed. Fish was wearing a helmet.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the incident. Alcohol wasn’t involved, according to the report.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
