MANATEE COUNTY, FL : 76-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured in Manatee County crash on Thursday, 3rd August 2023

A 76-year-old Bradenton man was hospitalized after his motorcycle collided with a sedan attempting to make a U-turn.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash happened at the State Road 70 (53rd Avenue East) and 47th Street East intersection Thursday morning.

The motorcyclist was traveling west on State Road 70. A sedan, driven by a 91-year-old Bradenton man, was traveling east and attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection.

The two vehicles collided, and the motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, troopers said. His current condition is unknown at this time.
