MCCLAIN COUNTY, OK : A woman and two young boys were killed in a crash on Monday, July 17, 2017

A woman and two young boys were killed in a crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 35 in Purcell, officials said.

Authorities said a semi-truck slowed and almost came to a stop suddenly on I-35, and an SUV crashed into the back of the truck. Seven people were in the SUV, driven by 40-year-old Erin Van Horn of Tulsa, officials said.Van Horn was taken to Purcell Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Two boys, ages 10 and 11, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Three 13-year-old girls, who were also inside the SUV at the time of the crash, are in critical condition. Another 7-year-old girl was taken to Purcell hospital, and treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
