A 61-year-old Midland woman was hurt in a three-vehicle crash Monday night, Midland Police report.
The crash occurred at 8:36 p.m. when Mary Luella Green, 61, was driving a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country van on South Saginaw Road approaching the intersection at Eastlawn Avenue. The van collided with the back of a 2016 Subaru Forester that was stopped for a red light, causing the van to flip onto its driver side.
The van continued forward, and struck the back of a 2015 Ford Fusion that was also stopped at the light, in the lane to the left of the Subaru.
Green was trapped inside the van, and was extricated by the Midland Fire Department. She suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to MidMichigan Medical Center for treatment by paramedics, the report states.
The other drivers, Stephen Neil Johnson, 60, and Todd Jeremy Kovaluk, 25, both of Midland, were not hurt.
Green was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
The intersection was closed from 8:52 p.m. until 9:55 p.m., according to a Nixle alert.
