WATERTOWN, CT : 1 killed, I seriously hurt in Route 262 and Frost Bridge Road in Watertown on Friday, 27th July 2018

Police say one person is dead and another is in serious condition after an early morning two-vehicle crash in Connecticut.

Officers responded to the intersection of Route 262 and Frost Bridge Road in Watertown just after 5 a.m. Friday for a crash involving a pickup truck and a car. Police say car was attempting to enter the Route 8 northbound on-ramp.

The drivers and passengers from both vehicles were taken to hospitals. A passenger in the car was pronounced dead. The driver was listed in serious condition.

The driver and passenger in the pickup were injured, but their injuries are not considered life threatening.

No names were released.

The crash remains under investigation.
