Eau Claire,WI : Victims ID’d in fatal Dunn County crash; OWI charge issued on February, Wednesday 14th 2018
A Boyceville man was charged with a fourth offense of operating while intoxicated after being involved in a crash that killed one woman and injured her daughter.
Todd R. Dormanen, 47, was driving a northbound Kia SUV that crossed the centerline and hit a Chevrolet SUV head-on Monday on Highway 79 about three miles south of Boyceville in the Dunn County town of Sherman. It appears he was operating on the wrong side of the road. The crash was reported at about 12:40 p.m.
Jena D. Anderson, 54, of Boyceville was driving the Chevy. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dunn County medical examiner.
A passenger in the vehicle was Anderson’s 19-year-old daughter, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar in Menomonie.
Dormanen was the only one in his vehicle. He was injured with apparent non-life-threatening injuries and transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Additional charges against Dormanen will be considered by the district attorney once the investigation is complete.
