Tampa, FL : Wrong-way driver arrested for DUI in Tampa on Thursday morning, February 5, 2015

Florida Highway Patrol says another wrong-way driver was arrested for driving under the influence in Tampa early Thursday morning.

FHP says police were called to the Veterans Expressway just before 1:30 a.m. for reports of a driver going southbound in northbound lanes. Tampa police stopped 23-year-old Megan Luginsland of Tampa near the intersection of SR 60.

FHP units arrived and a trooper conducted a DUI check, and Luginsland was subsequently arrested after blowing a .12 BAC.

Luginsland told troopers she left a bar on Dale Mabry Highway and entered the Veterans Expressway in the wrong direction; she exited and then re-entered again in the wrong direction at an unknown location.

Luckily, she was stopped before causing a crash on the dark, rainy roads.
