Livingston County, IL : Man injured in crash with school bus near the 4 mile marker on River Road in Livingston County on Friday, 13th September 2019
A Smithland man was injured Friday in a two-vehicle collision in Livingston County that involved a school bus.
Around 6:24 a.m., Livingston County Sheriff's deputies responded to a crash with injuries near the 4 mile marker on River Road in Livingston County. Deputies said Daniel Lawless, 42, of Smithland, was traveling southbound on River Road in a 2001 Ford pickup when he "went left of the center lane" and lost control of his truck.
The truck hit a school bus traveling northbound on River Road. Smithland resident Dustin Wood, 37, was identified as the bus driver. Wood and his only passenger, Wood's juvenile daughter, were not injured, deputies reported.
