Beaumont, TX : Authorities ask for assistance in locating fatal crash victim's next of kin on Monday, 17th October 2016
Authorities are asking for assistance in locating a Beaumont woman's next of kin.
Ana Liza Garcia, 41, died late Monday night after she was struck by a car while attempting to cross the unlit intersection of MLK at Elgie by foot, the Beaumont Police Department said.
Garcia was transported to St. Elizabeth's shortly after 11:46 p.m. where she was pronounced dead, officials confirmed.
Officials did not want to identify the victim until her next of kin is located, according to officials.
Investigators have been unable to locate next of kin, after learning that all addresses found for the family are abandoned or not good addresses, officials said.
Officials said Garcia was known to frequent the south end and her family lived on Van Buren at one time. BPD has released the only picture they have of Garcia.
