Highland Township, OK : 1 dead, 1 critically injured in vehicle crash in Highland Township on Sunday, 30th September 2018

A two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Highland Township took the life of one person and critically injured another Sunday afternoon, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Killed was a 74-year-old Dearborn man, who was a passenger in a 2017 Ford Fusion which reportedly accelerated westbound from a stop sign on Clyde Road and Hickory Ridge Road, and went into the path of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado travelling north on Hickory Ridge.

There’s no stop sign for traffic on Hickory Ridge at Clyde.

The driver of the Fusion, a 78-year-old Dearborn woman, was critically injured and remains hospitalized.
