Five people were injured when an MTA bus crashed into a minivan and careened into a building

Five people were injured when an MTA bus crashed into a minivan and careened into a building in upper Manhattan Friday morning.

The incident happened on Broadway at West 155th Street in Washington Heights just before 7:45 a.m.

The bus was not in service at the time and was traveling northbound on Broadway when witnesses say the minivan, attempted to make a turn, cut in front of the bus.

Two pedestrians, a woman in her 30s and her husband, were injured, as well as two occupants in the van.

The bus driver was also hurt, but the extent of his injuries are unknown.

Two people were rushed to Harlem Hospital and two to St. Luke's Hospital.

None of the injuries appears life threatening.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
