Jefferson City, MO : Victim in fatal Greene County motorcycle accident identified at 821 E. Roy Furman Highway, Jefferson Township on Friday, 14th June 2019

The Greene County’s coroner’s office identified the man killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday evening as David F. Loy.

Loy, 34, of Clarksville, was pronounced dead at 8:23 p.m. at 821 E. Roy Furman Highway, Jefferson Township, according to a release from Greene County Coroner Gene Rush.

According to Rush, Loy was involved in an accident at 7:27 p.m.

Loy was traveling west on his motorcycle on Roy Furman Highway and struck the fender of a utility trailer pulled by a eastbound truck when he attempted to pass a line of traffic, Rush said.

He then lost control and fell off the motorcycle, and was hit by a truck traveling west.

The specific cause and manner of death remain under investigation, according to Rush.
