Winona, MN : One person was injured in a collision on Hwy. 61 on Saturday, July 22, 2017

One person was injured in a collision on Hwy. 61 near Parks Avenue in Winona Saturday afternoon.

Mark Sage Bofinger, 24, of Winona, was travelling north on Hwy. 61 around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, when he tried to avoid crashing into Diana Marie Santoro, 69, of Rollingstone, Minn., who was travelling south on Hwy. 61 and turning onto Parks Avenue. Santoro's vehicle struck Bofinger's vehicle on the drivers side, sending it into the ditch.

Santoro was taken to Winona Health with non-life threatening injuries.

The Winona Police and Fire departments and the Winona Health Ambulance service assisted on the scene of the accident.
